I recently purchased this set for the eyeshadow brush, since I need my HG blending brush. The shape looked quite promising. I paid $9.99 retail for it at Rite Aid. It comes with a baby kabuki, mineral powder brush, concealer, eye shading brush, and hemp pouch. More pictures can be found in my haul thread here. The brushes feel soft, though I have felt softer. In my opinion they don't feel all that sturdy. I would worry these might break a little easier than your average brush. These did not meet my expectations. The blending brush was a poor performer. It's actually a bit too large for my eye, and I found it difficult blending my shadows or any harsh lines. I am taking this set back. The other brushes did fine(I have not tried the concealer brush though), but I really don't need any of them. The baby kabuki I doubt I would use, because it is so small and difficult for me to use(and not very dense either). I would recommend a pass on these.

Pros: Soft, affordable
Cons: Weren't the greatest performers

Pros:
  • Picks up a lot of color
  • Applies product to the crease well
  • Extremely soft
  • Feels well made
  • Price
  • It's a nice size. I would consider it a medium sized crease brush. Should work for most eyes.
Cons:
  • Not available locally
I really like this brush! It really works well, and has become my go to brush for applying color to my crease. I'd actually like to get one or two more of these. I really don't have any complaints about it. It's soft, but without being all mushy if that makes sense lol. I would definitely recommend giving this brush a try.

Pros: Great brush! Works well, and is super soft
Cons: Not available locally

Pros:
  • Very affordable
  • The hairs are extremely soft. This is the softest brush I have ever owned.
  • No bad small
  • Feels well made
  • Great for applying a wash of color
Cons:
  • Is too soft for some applications(I think this is better suited for neutral looks)
  • Not available locally(most people will have to order this online)
  • Shed a few hairs at first
Overall I like this brush, but I don't love it. I think it could blend better than it does. This is not the first brush I grab when I want to blend my crease. If you tend to use washes of color, then I think you might like this brush. Otherwise I would take a pass.

Pros: affordable, extremely soft, well made, good for washes of color
Cons: Not the greatest at blending

This was my first MAC brush, and it really disappointed me. The quality was good. It looks and feels well made. But it didn't apply my shadows well at all. In fact most of my shadow stuck to my brush. My cheapie brushes did a better job. I ended up selling my brush. This just didn't work for me.

Pros: Well made
Cons: Didn't work well at all

Beautiful, sumptuous and PINK!  To DIE for gift-wrap and thoughtful, elegant packaging even if you don't order with gift wrap.  U.S. and overseas orders take about 10 days by a signed for service which from Europe is pretty quick for an economical shipping choice.

If you're looking for cheap as chips this brand is not for you BUT if you appreciate quality and products that will last if you take care of them, this is definitely a brand worth investing in because these make-up brushes are used by the professionals in film and TV; where I guess you can't afford to work with any old brush.   There are some useful and well photographed demos in the make-up room - but access only comes with a qualifying purchase - fair enough - these are professionally produced films - well lit and detailed with advice from a twice British Academy nominated pro.  Tips are not high fashion, more the kind of tips you wish you knew for perennial questions like how to cover spots (in the FREE area) or get rid of dark shadows (is in the make-up room).  Check out the promo to see if you have the software to play the films - nice music from The Response Collective (which you can buy on iTunes if you like it) - some films shown in the promo have yet to be uploaded - they're still in process - but there's a good amount there to be getting on with.

Pros: Great quality product, looks gorgeous, good photography and very informative site - clearly carefully put together with awareness towards environment and customer confidence.
Cons: Pricey - but will last (good for a post peak oil society which cares about imbedded energy in things) Not good for those who get bored with stuff easily.

I picked this brush up at Sally Beauty Supply. It's definitely a larger sized angle brush. I can't use it for contouring, because it is too large for my face for that purpose. The bristles are soft, and have held their shape through many washings. Some of the dye came out in the first wash, but after that it was fine. It shed a few hairs the first few times I used it, but since then it hasn't lost any. This applies product and blends it well. It didn't have any odd smells to it or anything. I would definitely repurchase this brush

Pros: Applies and blends well, soft bristles, holds up to being washed, price
Cons: Too big for contouring

This line of brushes are carried at Sally Beauty Supply. They are quite affordable. It is made with natural(goat I believe) hair. The brush feels good in your hand and is easy to use. I have been pleased with all my other Face Secrets brushes, up until this one. At first the bristles felt quite soft. After time though, they have begun to feel a bit rough. None of my other brushes have had that issue. When I first washed it some of the black color came out, but after that first wash it was fine. It has held it's shape through many washings. It sheds. A lot. I have had this brush for quite some time, and the shedding still hasn't stopped. I do not recommend this brush, and I am currently looking to replace it.

Pros: Price, holds it shape
Cons: Doesn't stay soft, sheds like mad

I bought this brush after hearing comparisons to the MAC 187 brush, which I do not have. I bought it on sale, and used a coupon code. It is soft, and feels well made. It shed the first few times I used it, but now not a hair comes out. I can't say enough good things about this brush. My liquid foundation looks awesome when applied with this brush. I hardly have to use any product to get nice coverage. I would like multiples of this brush. There was no odd smells from the bristles, and they seem to hold their shape so far. I have not had the brush that long though, so I can't comment on long term wear and tear. It's a great brush and I highly recommend it.

Pros: Soft, applies foundation beautifully, affordable, no bad smell, sturdy and well made
Cons: retail price is kind of high(but you can always get it on sale)

I have gone to kabuki heaven, girls. I've wanted to try this brush since I love everything I've ever gotten from LaurEss and this company stops at nothing for quality. They recently put these babies on sale so I decided to bite the bullet and get one. It's much larger than your typical kabuki. The handle is about 2.5" long for better control. The brush is divine. So plush, dense and soft and applies minerals like a dream with no shedding (I can't say that about about a lot of other kabukis). Now I see why the higher price. It's extremely well made and sturdy. It comes packaged in a plastic wrap so it's kept in perfect undisturbed, clean shape during shipping.

Pros: longer handle, dense bristles, amazingly soft
Cons:

This is a new Kashuk Tools brush from Target (the ones with the black contoured handles). It has a dense, synthetic flat brush head that's around 3/4" in diameter. I use it to apply creme blushes and it's fantastic. I just tap the brush against the creme until I have a light layer on the brush, then stipple it on the apples of my cheeks. Then I just buff it in for a very natural look. Prior to this brush I used my MAC 187 SE for creme blushes and I prefer the results I get with this one.

Pros: Doesn't stink, doesn't shed, brush head is very dense and firm, doesn't scratch the face.
Cons: I wish it came in a sleeve instead of that bulky case.

This is a really great brush, especially for the price. I purchased this at K Mart for $3.99, and it came with a free brush(which I also loved and reviewed). It is a small angled blush, which I found really useful for contouring and applying blush. Sometimes angled brushes can too big for my face. It has soft, natural hair bristles. I didn't notice it shed during the first wash, but it did lose a few hairs the first couple of times I used it. Now it doesn't shed anymore. I didn't notice any bad odors from the brush. It picks up and applies product beautifully. I have been using it all the time since I got it. I really like it and highly recommend this brush. I would definitely repurchase, and am thinking of getting a second brush so I have one for bronzer and one for blush.

Pros: Price, natural hair, picks up and applies product beautifully
Cons: None

I really like this brush. I have been disappointed with my two other Sonia Kashuk brushes(travel size), but I am happy with this full size crease brush. It has black, soft, natural bristles and a white plastic handle. I find it's a little big for my crease, so I have to be careful when using it to apply color. It blends shadow out beautifully. It has held up through many washing, and is still very soft. I would definitely repurchase this brush.

Pros: Soft natural bristles, affordable, blends and applies shadow well, holds up well to repeated washing
Cons: None

I bought this along with another travel size brush. I like the short handles. The bristles are a soft, natural hair and the handle is white. Unfortunately the bristles have not retained their shape through normal washings. They have separated, which has caused a considerable drop in performance. I can no longer use this brush to pack on shadow. At best I can do a little light blending. I will not be purchasing this again.

Pros: Small size, soft natural bristles, cost
Cons: Performance quickly drops, does not hold up to washing

I like the small size of this brush. Unfortunately, that's all I like about it. The brush seemed fine at first, but over time it quickly started performing poorly. The bristles(natural hair) began to separate, and it began applying shadow poorly. The bristles have remained soft through washings, but they have not held their shape. I would not recommend this brush at all

Pros: Bristles remain soft, cost, small size
Cons: Bristles quickly start to separate and performance goes downhill

I LOVE this brush! It's not good as a crease brush. It picks up a good amount of product and applies it somewhat strongly too. I tried it in my crease and ended up with a bit of a line, and had to use a different brush to blend it out. So why do I love it? Because it makes an awesome pencil brush! I use it to apply shadow under my lashes and around my tear ducts. It makes the job a snap. This brush is extremely affordable(carried at K Mart). It has natural hair bristles, and I love the black and pink handle. I have not had any shedding, and it has held it's shape through washings. I am going to buy a few more of these brushes I love them so much!

Pros: Natural hair, affordable, works amazing as a pencil brush, no shedding, holds up to being washed
Cons: None!!
